About Duck Day & Race

This is our third annual event. The idea to create a new community and business event was born four years ago at a committee meeting of the Naugatuck Chamber board of directors. A small group of members with the leadership of Chamber director Lynn Ward created what is now known as Duck Day with the largest duck race in Connecticut! The Naugatuck Chamber has contributed nearly $70,000 to the participating non-profit community.

Duck Day is a wholesome good old fashioned collaboration between the Naugatuck Chamber, Waterbury Regional Chamber and the Borough of Naugatuck. The mission is to create a safe, fun day that brings the community together for a great cause.
